MESA, Ariz. (Aug. 1, 2013) – When many of the volunteer Yarnell dispatchers were displaced after the Yarnell Hill Fire destroyed their homes, Rural/Metro stepped-up to provide a solution for Town of Yarnell’s emergency dispatch needs.

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (November 7, 2012) – Employees from Rural/Metro Fire Department and Southwest Ambulance were honored this week for their life-saving team efforts in Pinal County, Arizona. Six firefighters and four EMS professionals were singled out for their outstanding commitment, along with deputies from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and flight crews from air medical transport provider Air Evac.

(October 9, 2012) – Rural/Metro’s Southwest Zone announces the promotion of longtime EMS operational leader Jeff Baker to the position of Division General Manager for PMT Ambulance .  Mr. Baker will oversee the day-to-day operational leadership of PMT, reporting directly to PMT Chief Operating Officer John Wilson.
